The DELTA algorithm can reconstruct consistent, daily LSTs at Landsat resolution based solely on Landsat imagery. The DELTA algorithm possesses some advantages compared with the algorithms by blending Landsat and MODIS imagery to generate LSTs: (1) DELTA does not require the input of MODIS images; (2) the utilization of temporal segmentation in DELTA reduces the impact of land cover changes on LST prediction over time.
